tasc Performance to Support Everest World Record Holder, Melissa Arnot for 50 Peaks in 50 Days Challenge

tasc Performance is honored to support Melissa Arnot, and protégé Maddie Miller, as the team sets out on a challenge to summit 50 Peaks of the United States in 50 days. We are once again providing Melissa (and her team) with our signature MOSOmerino base layers for this journey.

“We are very happy to support Melissa and Maddie on their 50 Peaks adventure,” said tasc President Todd Andrews. “Melissa truly represents the authenticity and originality of our brand and it is very gratifying to see our products come to life through her adventures.”

Arnot, who wore the our MOSOmerino base layers as she summited Mt. Everest without supplemental oxygen one month ago, became the first American woman to accomplish such a feat and broke (her own) world record for the most summits up Everest by an American woman in the process.

The professional mountain guide and EMT now has embarked on a new mission alongside guide-in -training and college senior, Maddie Miller, to summit the highest points in all 50 states within 50 days.

“I feel lucky to have a sponsor as supportive as tasc – they are like family to me,” said Arnot. “I can always count on tasc merino/bamboo products to hold up to all conditions without sacrificing comfort. The apparel also never gets smelly due to the natural performance characteristics inherent to the material, and this is something I appreciate since it’s hard to find a washing machine in the mountains!”

Our MOSOmerino™ base layer items  offers a high warmth to weight ratio alongside the inherent performance benefits, including superior odor resistance, moisture wicking and softness. The tasc merino base layers are trusted by Melissa to be a staple during extreme climbs.

The team kicked off their journey on Monday, June 27th, by summiting one of the most
challenging peaks, Denali, in Alaska. Upon completing the summit, they flew to Florida
where they were met with a vehicle and supplies. The women will now take on the highest points in all 48 mainland states before taking one last flight to the summit of Hawaii to conclude the adventure. Only 273 people have accomplished such a feat and to do so in 50 days will set a new record.
